Kif Kif Boutique in Marrakech, Morocco is a fashion and lifestyle boutique and brand located in the Souks "Market Place" near Bab Laksour of the Medina or "Old Town" Marrakech. The boutique has been around and popular for over 10 years! The boutique's creator, Stephanie Benetiere, is a French expat known here in Marrakech for innovative style and dynamic optimism for event planning and lifestyle creation... not just fashion design.
Stephanie was the first to start recycling Moroccan flour sacs and creating beautiful home decor products with them, as well as slippers, small pocket books and beautiful storage bags that are still one of the most popular items with our brand. She got the idea while traveling to China and seeing how the country was creating unique things with recycled goods and thought it was a perfect idea for her store. Working only with Moroccan artisans who have done their crafts and passed down their skills to their other family members, most of the craftsman that work with Kif Kif, to this day, are Moroccan business associates/artisans that have been working with her since she began the idea. Many other shop owners today in Marrakech are making goods with recycled flour sacs....thanks to her great idea!
Stephanie now has another equally successful business in events planning here in Marrakech Morocco. The company called Kech Events has the unique concept of organizing weddings, professional events, yoga retreats, you name it around a selection of unusual places that are off the beaten track in Marrakech and all around Morocco. The contact for the client is offered personalized and customized service from beginning to end. Every aspect is designed and carefully planned by Stephanie herself but the staff at Kech Events is equally talented enough to help her carryout her creative desires for the clients satisfaction. That satisfaction is guaranteed!

Now that you know about how Kif Kif was created, you are not probably wondering where I fit in this picture..... Well, I met Stephanie through another amazing woman that I met here named Sophie. Sophie was leaving Marrakech and thought I might be a great replacement for her, taking over the work of the Kif Kif Brand. Stephanie does double duty still overseeing the Kif Kif mark but I eventually became to new International Brand Manager and designer, working on creating new products, working with the artisans, handling communications including social media, product depot, which is our product sold in other stores around Morocco (like the amazing concept store 33 Majorelle just in front of designer Yves Saint Laurent's Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech), managing the staff at our own boutique in the souks, accounting and export, all around the world! Whew....I am busy....but it is a daily challenge I am well prepared for and am excited about what I am doing everyday.... It was not like that just a few months ago for me....I will tell you about that in another post...I promise.
